Benefits

Heat and energy from the Sun can warm up a house through a process known as solar radiation. When sunlight hits the surfaces of a house, such as roofs and walls, it is absorbed and converted into heat. Materials like metal and concrete can absorb this energy and warm up, increasing the temperature inside the house. This process can be particularly noticeable on sunny days, where the sunlight is a major source of heat.

Heat rejection via Reflection

With ThermaGuard HRC, heat from the sun is rejected and reflected back into sky, keeping the interior of your house cool under the perfect shade.

Environmentally friendly solution

Less energy will be needed to cool down your house with ThermaGuard HRC, the roof space of your house will stay cool at ambient air temperature even on a cloudless sunny day.

Why ThermaGuard

ThermaGuard HRC is a heat reflective coating that greatly reduces thermal shock plus waterproofs and extends roof life.

The unique thermal barrier properties of ThermaGuard HRC are due to millions of hollow glass microspheres that cluster together and provide vacuumed air space.

ThermaGuard HRC is the solution for control of extreme heat conditions by improving internal temperatures in commercial buildings, industrial equipment, homes, warehouses, schools, silos and much more.

A simple application of ThermaGuard HRC will not only save you money by lowering your HVAC costs, it will also extend the life of your building and equipment.

ThermaGuard HRC dramatically improves personal comfort levels by keeping a lower, stable temperature throughout the day and night. Additionally ThermaGuard HRC will maintain a balanced temperature throughout the building.

Importantly, there is no need to replace any of your existing materials as ThermaGuard HRC is a  heat reflective coating that is easily applied to existing roofs and walls to repel heat. ThermaGuard HRC can be applied while existing operations continue resulting in no business downtime.

Standard Galvanised roof

Solar reflectance is 38.76%. Solar emittance is 38%

Galvanised roof with ThermaGuard HRC

Solar reflectance is 95.06%. Solar emittance is 92%

Residential

Long term passive cooling solution with minimal running cost at home.

Commercial

Best equipment protection and increased longevity.

Technical Data

Best equipment protection and increased longevity.

The Solar reflective Index (SRI) was set as the standard for measuring the effectiveness of heat reflective paint.

SRI is a numerical expression of a coating’s overall ability to reject solar heat. Solar Reflective Index calculation is done in accordance with ASTM E 1980-11.

ThermaGuard HRC was independently tested by AWTA May 2014.
